Privacy Policy

TeaSoftware is an independent software engineering and product initiative based in Vietnam. This policy explains the limited information processed by this website and the current Hanmelo MVP.

1. TeaSoftware Website

This website does not currently provide public user accounts or a contact form. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your name, email address, and message content.

Our hosting, CDN, and security providers may process standard technical request data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals in order to deliver and protect the website. TeaSoftware does not currently run first-party analytics tracking on this site.

2. Hanmelo MVP

Hanmelo is an iOS app under active development and has been tested on a physical iPhone. It is not presented as a public production service.

• Speech recognition: In connected mode, learner audio is sent to a third-party speech-processing service to convert speech to text.
• AI conversation: Recognized text and relevant learning context are sent to a third-party AI service to generate tutor responses and session summaries.
• Raw audio: Hanmelo does not persist raw learner audio by default. This does not describe or guarantee provider-side retention.
• Learning data: Session history and saved phrases may be kept to support review and can be deleted from the app's Settings.
• Current limits: Speech recognition can be wrong, and the MVP does not currently grade pronunciation or Mandarin tones.

The offline demo uses scripted conversations instead of the speech and AI providers. Saved learning items can inform later tutor conversations. We will review provider data handling and update this policy before external testing if processing or retention changes.

3. How We Use Information

• To respond to messages sent to our official email address.
• To operate, debug, secure, and improve the website and product prototypes.
• To provide the Hanmelo speaking and review experience during development testing.
• To comply with applicable legal or security obligations where required.

4. Service Providers

We may rely on infrastructure, security, speech-recognition, and AI service providers to operate the website and MVP. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information.

5. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical safeguards appropriate to an early-stage product, including encrypted network connections, scoped access, secret management, and data minimization. We aim to keep data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant product or security purpose.

6. Your Choices

You can contact us at [email protected] with questions about information you have sent to us. Hanmelo's current MVP also provides controls for deleting session history and saved phrases from the app.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy will evolve with TeaSoftware and Hanmelo. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date shown at the top of this page.
